Management |

 |
| Webster defines “MANAGEMENT” as “skillful managing, careful, tactful
treatment." A successful massage career seems to separate into three general categories, with MANAGEMENT being the third phase, which offers helpful information for staying a SSBO (Successful Small Business Owner) until you are ready to retire.
This level offers a variety of guidelines and specific information helpful in avoiding disinterest and impulsive risk taking.
Management is designed for the person who has a successful
practice, but may be restless and looking for new
challenges. You will also find ideas that will help you
transition to working fewer hours without revenue loss,
planning for retirement, or wherever your dreams may take
you.
This level is divided into three sections:
• BUILDING REVENUE STREAMS
This section offers thoughts and suggestions on adjusting your business to match your current goals and direction. It helps you define what you want to do NOW and for how long. It gives alternate paths for duplicating your success and helps you plan and implement the next logical steps to increasing your revenues.
• MARKETING
This section is about marketing and selling. It suggests new and updated revenue streams, and how to market them. It will also help you fine-tune your profession “expert” level and increase your confidence in your ability to market imaginatively, sell yourself and advertise effectively.
• STRATEGIC FUTURES
Strategic Futures offers insight on evaluating your practice, your client list and potential changes. It offers ways for you to prepare to take the next step, whatever that may be for
you, including a comfortable retirement. The opportunities are limitless.
Each resource offers answers to your questions. The information offered has been used in building and maintaining a thriving 13-year practice. They offer practical, tried and tested ways to reassess your goals as well as information on writing articles, setting up speaking engagements, becoming an “expert” and perhaps offer new insights into what you already provide.
